Cosmic Breath is a Interactive art Installation that utilizes motors and a wind sensor to make participants breath become a force for moving the wheat. Here is how the project works: Servo motors pull on stalks of wheat. The viewer will blow into a wind sensor that starts the motors and pulls at the wheat. The final result will be a 6ft x 4ft field that moves according to how hard a person blows into the sensor. Each panel is 4ft x 2ft and is designed to be easily stacked together to make the larger piece.
Once I got the basic design I began to build it out:
Here is the first user test: The final project consists of stand that holds the wind sensor and sends data to the field with IR.
